Hans Bellmer (1902-1975)
Of Hans Bellmer’s work we know a few dozens of paintings and a few hundreds of drawings, all very demanded by museum all over the world. But this master of surrealism first was an engraver, relentlessly appreciating the pleasure of biting the copperplate, a burin in hand; biting in flesh as well, as he made the embrace of bodies the main theme of his work.
