Georges Arnulf (1921-1996)
Trained at the École des Arts Décoratifs in Nice, then at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Georges Arnulf first came to the attention of critics in 1950, when he won the Prix de Rome for engraving. He was immediately awarded a prestigious commission: the creation, after Jean Cocteau and Marie Laurencin, of the label for Château Mouton Rothschild, cuvée 1950! Moving from the smallest to the largest, he then embarked on a career as a renowned fresco artist. The Taylor Foundation paid tribute to him in 1998. An eternal lover of color, he multiplied his works under the beautiful Provence sky.
