Pierre Jérôme. The Rediscovered Master exhibition

Awarded the Prix de Rome in 1934, Pierre Jérôme was considered till the day he died in 1982 as a legendary professor, a true master who taught painting at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière and at the École polytechnique. His master-piece is The Strange Carnival, superb fresco measuring 150 x 489 cm (4 ft. 11 in. x 16 ft. 1/2 in.) made in 1965. Finally out of a private collection, it is exhibited for the first time. Thirty other painting and watercolours by Pierre Jérôme also complete this exhibition called “Pierre Jérôme. The rediscovered master” at the Cristel Éditeur d’Art Centre in Saint-Malo.
