Colette called him “my big Dig”! She admired him and adored him like many journalists, writers and painters in the Montmartre of the beginning of the 20th century did. Ah! This Dig drew morning to night; often dancers and nudes for theaters’ directors-he signed many decors-for journals and editors. This was until he tried landscape led by André Dunoyer de Segonzac.
