André Tondu (1903-1980)
André Tondu was one the best painters of his time. He was awarded the Prix de Rome in 1931. His nude paintings, always with vibrant flesh, are very known. But he was also a painter of home scenes and happiness of living. Several of his paintings are exposed at the Modern Art Museum of Paris, as well as in Dijon, Algiers, in the Chester Dale Collection in the United States and in the Tallis Collection in Australia.
